The ESG commitments of illimity SGR

In line with the policies of its parent company illimity Bank, illimity SGR guides the investment decisions taken by its Funds to ensure compliance with environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, with the aim of generating sustainable value over time and enabling it to achieve responsible growth that is consistent with its needs.

This commitment is achieved through:

• a careful analysis, in both processes and operating mechanisms, of the requirements of applicable legislation on “sustainable finance”, detailed inter alia in our ESG Investment Policy

• strict adherence to the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) launched by the United Nations in 2006, to which illimity SGR has been a signatory since February 2023

ESG issues assume strategic importance for us in the long-term creation of shared value, taking into account the economic, social and environmental impact that the companies in which we invest may generate in their respective contexts.

From this perspective, illimity SGR builds environmental, social and governance considerations into its investment decision-making and Fund management processes, believing that these may also contribute to sustainable growth, with a view to fully satisfying the interests of investors and other stakeholders and mitigating any related financial, operating and reputational risks.

illimity SGR is an integral part of the illimity Bank banking group and contributes to achieving the sustainability objectives of the group, where it is involved in setting up Alternative Investment Funds which, consistent with its strategic mission, promote environmental or social characteristics or a combination of these, on the condition that the companies in which the investments are made comply with the practices of good governance.
